Council's Recommendation - and it's not good!

So the Council Officer's [that's John Ramsden] Recommendations to the Executive Board [ that's the meeting where they decide what will happen to the school] is out now - and it's bad news.

Their preferred option is student flats (between 33-35) with a number of commercial units (yes that could be a tesco express or any number of chains to kill off the local shops and businesses) at the front of the ground floor. There may be an option for the community to have some space on the ground floor (the classrooms on the back). This is subject to the councillors deciding this on Wednesday.

If you don't like this option, please call John Ramsden today. All you need to do is say how disappointed you are with this option. His number is 01132477884 or his email is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

what a shame!!!!!!!the second largest city council in one of the richest countries in the world can't spare an old school building for its people's welfare and happier commuity life. What utter poverty of vision and hopeless failure of fulfilling people's dreams!
